I was delighted to see some Romanian wines at the Rocky Mountain Festival. I tried “Jidvei Feteasca Regala” which quickly became one of my favorites – I loved it so much! Romanian wines are some of the best wines and Transilvania Spirits are doing a great job by bringing them to Canada! I truly recommend you try these great wines and celebrate all the good moments that are worth celebrating in a lifetime!

Jidvei Clasic Fetească Regală
Fresh and clean, this is indeed classic, as in “classic fresh white for summer.” Showing good acidity and a little tension, it can also coat the palate, and it finishes with a touch of grapefruit.

A land full of myths, legends and famous wines and spirits, Cotnari, Jidvei and Murfatlar are part of the land of Dracula which is the world’s tenth largest wine producer and the fifth largest in Europe. Terroir, an essential element in shaping the excellence of its wines, defines a delicate art of living. Here, wine transcends time and space, orchestrating a harmonious balance between earth and sky, past and present, dry and sweet, indigenous and international.
KING CHARLES III, who is said to be the great-great-great-grandson of Vlad Tepes – best known as Dracula, visits every summer his personal property in Viscri, 100 km distance from Jidvei.
